Chapter 27: Back at the resort, the two men and Christie were in a parlor, looking at a map of Chicago. "Well, Jin could be hiding anywhere," says Lei. "True, but the world is different back then. With sophisticated technologies, he couldn't even become a serial killer that long. Jin would take Ling someplace where he thinks we'd never search." Replies Steve, moving his finger along the map. "I don't understand. How can we find that bastard?" "We can start looking there tomorrow." Jin Kazama held Ling as they both slept. Jin rubbed her bare back, listening to her breathing he admired. I've waited so long, and no one is going to take her away from me. 300 years earlier "Jin, sit. Dinner is served," says Jun, his mother. Jin sat across from his mother, and notice Kazuya, his father, coming into the room. But the look on his father face stunned him. "Father? What's wrong?" Jin looked at his mother, then back at his father. Just then, Kazuya collapsed, forward. Jun cried, screaming his name. Jin stood up, ready to assist his father, but then stopped when four men came crashing into their house. Heihachi Mishima Everyone knew who he was. The master of all vampires! "Kill her, bring the boy to me." Jin stared deep into the master's evil eyes. "Let my mother go! Spare her!" "It's too late boy, your mother is already dead." Jin attacked Heihachi, using his martial arts techniques, but was weak against supernatural creatures like Mishima, himself. "You'll burn in hell for this!" SMACK! Jin hit the wall and collapsed, moaning from agonies of loss and pain. Jin sighed from those thoughts, and tightened his grip. Ling moved slightly, but did not make up. He touched his chest where Ling fed on him. His wound was already healed. He remembers her desperation for blood, her hunger. Finally, when she had enough, he flipped her over and pinned her down, making her stop attacking him. She was still hungry for more blood. Chapter 28: Jin Kazama woke up with a little startlement. Another freakish nightmare, once again, invading his dreams. His beloved girl was sound asleep, still feverish from his blood. He remembers now. It was that night. When he came into her bedroom, in China, for the first time, kissing her emotionally. He hasn't bitten her yet. His dream made it believable because it was strong. She lay there, next to him, breathing quite resolutely, with her beautiful eyes behind those lids. So, the question remains, why hasn't he bit her? When the time is right, he will. But right now, the time is incorrect. He went back lying down next to her, wrapping his strong arms around her. "I love you, Yuki" While he laid there, his Grandfather, Heihachi Mishima came flooding back into his mind. The irony is, Mishima is responsible for all of this horror. He gave Jin a choice. To die or to live perpetually. After seeing his own mother gets murdered right in front of him, Jin vows revenge and accomplish his mission. He strongly believes his grandfather is still alive, and hiding. But another question: Where is that bastard? Three hundred years is a long time. Who knows? Maybe Heihachi Mishima died somehow. But, even that hopeful thought consumes his thoughts, he doubts it. He is excepting the worse. It's better that way, he says to himself. Dawn finally arrived as Ling re-opens her eyes for the first time. Her first notice was the dirty gray ceiling. Where am I? She asked herself. The room was dead silent. She quickly sat up, fear rising inside of her. Calm down, just calm down! But she couldn't help it. As if on cue, Jin entered the shabby room. "I see you're awake. How are you feeling?" "Oh my God, Jin?" "Yes, it's me." "Wherewhere on earth am I?" she cried, backing up against a wall. "Don't worry. You are safe with me." He replies with a soft smile. He slowly began to approach her with caution, doing his best not to discomfort her. "I want to go back to the Chen family, now!" she demanded. "Not so fast," he says calmly. "They are currently busy. They asked me to look over for you," he says, lying. "You're lying," she sneers. "Who are you? Really?" Jin stopped and stood there, with a blank expression on his dark, but beautiful face. "How did you find me?" she asked. "II am the voice you hear in your conscience. I am the demon that haunts you in your dreams. I am the monster your father seeks." "What?" Ling could not believe this. He must be crazy. There's no way he could've known about my dreams, about the voice I hear in my mind, and about the monster! "Who really are you?" "I want to go." She protested, getting up on her feet, but still making sure there is a distance between them. "You want to go?" "Yes. I want to get awayfrom you. You are actually making me nervous, and I do not like that." "Is this how you treat me? After what I have done for you?" Jin asked, feeling unappreciated at this point. He respected her by not advancing or going near her. "What do you mean?" she demanded. "I've given you what you always wanted! To be swiped away by a monster! To be freed from your awful father. To escape your fancies." "II don't understand this. What you are you talking about? How do you know this?" "Do you want to know who I really am?" Jin suddenly demanded. Ling wanted to say yes, but was too intimidated to reply. "I am the demon you want!" Just then, Jin has transformed himself into an ugly beast with large black wings. From a violent fright, Ling lost her conscious and fainted. Jin returned to himself once again, feeling a little foolish. "I think I've gone a little too far." Chapter 29: Ling woke up, not remembering things right away. She slowly pulled a blanket off of her and sat up. The room came to focus right away. It was very dark and quiet. "Jin?" As she sat there, all the horrible memories about Jin came flooding back into her mind like a stampede. In fear of him and herself, she quickly got up and headed towards the door, hoping to escape. Her fingers quickly wrapped around the doorknob and pulled. The effort of the force did not make the door open like it's supposed to. Panic-stricken, she pulled harder. Still, the door would not open. Ling looked around the room, searching for a heavy item or obstacles to break down the door, but failed. The room was emptyexcept for a bed and windowswindows! Ling pressed her face against the cold, dirty glass, hoping to find a way out. While she searched, she wondered: Where would I go? I don't know where I am. Who cares? As long as she escapes this monstrous beast that is in love with her, she wouldn't care where she is. Outside the large windows, is the Fire Escape Stairs. After pulling it up, she heard him. "You are my Yuki! I've lost you for 300 years! I will not lose you again! Where are you going to go?" The frightened and angry girl took her foot out the windowsill, making her escape, but stopped when she heard him say, "your father is dead. I killed him. He wasn't a good father." She became disbelief after hearing him. Is he bluffing? Is her father really dead? Her first intention was to attack him, to kill him right there and end this madness, but due to his supernatural powers and aggressiveness, she decided to make her escape. It's now or never! She had most of her body out the window when she felt his grasp grabbing her right foot. While she thought how her life was going to end, a voice inside her mind said to fight back! In her strongest effort, she kicked him, hard, on his handsome, but dark face, and made her escape. Her shoes clanked loudly as she fled down, panting. I must get away from him! Ling reached the ground and found herself running in a dark alley where homeless men stayed. She heard them cat-calling her. She did not know where she was going. Out of the alley, she found a group of male gangs around her age, talking, laughing, and selling drugs. She stopped short, panting from the running. "Hey, pretty girl, what's your hurry?" one gang said, looking down at her. "Whoa, not so fast, little girl," says another member. Another man, supposedly the leader, approached her. "What's your hurry, little lady?" he says. And then, she saw him. Jin was walking towards them, with his hood covering his face. Well, he certainly was taking his time! They were taunting her, scaring her as he arrived. And when he did "Hey, get lost! This one is ours!" screamed the leader. His henchmen obeyed. They were not aware of what they were about to get themselves into. Jin Kazama killed each and one of them! He once ripped out a heart, ripped an arm out and savagely beaten the leader to death! This guy is a manic! Ling fled in tears, screaming for help after witnessing his powers of attacking his victims. She did not want to believe this! She wanted to escapeor maybe just die. Ling ran and ran, sobbing like a little girl.maybe she is a little. Without a reason, she ran into another alley again. She stopped to take a short breath, hyperventilating. "Have you had enough?" Jin suddenly re-appeared, his lips close to her ear. She freaked out, backing away from this killer who wants to make her one as well. "Why have you done that?" she cried. While he spoke, she thought of wanting to kill him, like the way he did to her father and those gangs. She grabbed a trash-can lid and tried to hit him with it, but of course, he grabbed her, knocking the lid out of her hands, and embraced her tightly. She couldn't help herself. She has fallen madly in love with him before. There's no denying it. He is everything she wanted. Mentally and physically strong, intelligent, and beautiful. She had to admit she loved being chased by him. "You're tired," he says, picking her off the dirty ground and carried her back to his hideout. Jin knew she was experiencing another fever attack again. Time is wasting. He must do it soon. Her blood is getting weaker Back at the Marriott, the vampire hunters heard about the massacre down at the isolated and dark neighborhood through the television. Without a haste, they made their down there, barging in like stampedes. They interviewed a witness who saw everything. Everything the dirty old hobo said was true. "He took the girl with him and disappeared around the corner. I'd never seen a man kill another man like that. What is he? I saw him rip out a guy's arm, too. It was really scary!" "Which way did he go with her?" Steve demanded. "That way," the man says, pointing west. Christie and Lei followed close behind him, clutching to their stakes and crosses. "Who is this Jin, anyway?" Christie asked, curious as hell. "Trust me, you don't want to know," replied Lei firmly. "You're right. I don't want to know. I'm just making polite conversations." Ling was back sleeping again. This is a bad time for her sleep. Jin could hear those vampire hunters coming. He could disappearbut then he'll have to her leave. He can't risk it. Why hasn't be bitten her yet? As a true love, he knows he hasn't given the permission to kiss her. He'll forever live in guilt if he does. Jin began to panic. Where can he hide her? He must defeat these hunters once and for all! What to do? What to do? There are three hunters left. He could possibly kill themone at a time of course. Is a risky? Most likely it'll be. But, if he's doing this for Ling's love, he'll have to risk everything. Back outside, the hunters asked any people they could if they seen a man with a girl. Most of them said no, but there's another guy, younger, that did. "He went inside that dark building at the corner." Jin's plans were already carried out by the time the hunters invaded the abandoned building. Since it is, all the electricity isn't working. Thank goodness they brought flashlights. "Should we break up?" Christie asked softly. Jin hid behind a pillar, smiling to himself. He studied each and one of them carefully, observing their bodies, trying to ascertain their weak methods. Easy. All of them are easy to wipeout. All three climbed up the stairs. The wooden floor creaked loudly. "Christie is right, though. It would be much easier if we split up." Says Steve. "Oh, sure, take her side," Lei sneers, rolling his eyes. "Lei, this isn't the time to get feisty." Steve volunteered to search the second floor. Christie, the first, and Lei, the basement. Down at the basement, Lei moved the flashlight around, panting. "They say bullets can't harm vampires. Right. I like to see that." And down he went. He found a switch light and turned it on. Nothing. Click, click! "Damn. What a hell-hole." Lei successfully reached the ground of the dark basement. He first stood there, by the staircase, moving the flashlight around. The walls were all crumbled and needed renovation badly. Everything was basically quieta little too quiet. He hated to hear his own breathing. "This is like some horror movie," he says again. "Calm down." He bravely moved farther into the room, fear rising. Scrape! The sound came from the rear of the room. "What was that? Who's there?" Scrape, scrape, and scrape! He pulled out his gun, feeling himself trembling. He realizes the sounds were coming from behind the furnace. His panting accelerated. He could even feel his heart pumping against his chest, as if desperate to get out of his rib-cage. Lei screamed, jumping back. He nearly opened-fired, but controlled himself. "Stupid vermin!" He could still hear that rat. "And they always say, 'rats brings you good luck." "In this case, it doesn't," says a male voice behind him. Lei screamed louder, jumping with fright. Some energy force knocked his pistol out of his hand and disappeared into the darkness that will consume his soul very shortly. It was Jin. He did this deliberately. "You should've shot me," he says with a strange smile on his face. "Wh-what the hell are you talking about?" Lei cried, leaning against the furnace, more frightened than ever. "I was that rat. That vermin. I have powers to transform myself into anything I desire." "You're a devil," Lei cried softly. He could not keep his eyes off of Jin. He never met a vampire in his life. "I prefer to be called a vampire master," Jin says. "I don't want people's souls. I got basically what I wanted. It's just you and other vampire hunters I want dead." "You're going to fail. Where is Ling?" Lei cried. He remembered he has a stake in his pocket. If quick, he could stab Jin and be the hero of the day. "Don't worry about her. She is safe with me. To you, all of you are dangerous. That is why you must all die." "It won't be that easy, you bastard." With his last strength, Lei lounged forward, drawing out the stake. Jin was already prepared. He stepped aside, took the stake, and stabbed Lei on his back. Lei gasped. He collapsed, very wounded. "Two down, two more to go." Says Jin. Lei told himself to breathe, to hold on, but he was much in pain. He could feel himself being drawn away from his body. I failed to rescue herplease forgive me, Jian. | ![]() | ![]() |
