Japan, 300 years ago:

"Hang her! Hang her!" the crowd roars as Yuki desperately tries to escape from the vampire hunters' grasp. "You are sentenced to die," says a member. "Everyone knows you're a disgusting kappa." Yuki knew she was helpless. She felt her immortal time has just about ran out. The vampire hunters explain to their village people that kappas can't die like that. "They must be beheaded! These are supernatural creatures. Unlike us, they must perish in a certain ritual. Let us begin!"

As the people cheered with exultation, Yuki was forced to lie down on her back, her dark empty eyes glaring at the night sky. She went into a deep meditation, the voices surrounding her, slowly fading away. All she could contemplate was her beloved creature. The one that made her few years ago. Where is he? Why isn't he rescuing her? Her fear has turned into rage, and felt betrayed.

She felt a tear rolling down at the side of her face. This tear isn't like a human tear. It's a genus of tear that vampires don't normally expose themselves to mortals. A tear that of rage. Before she could even blink, the rope that held her down grew tighter. "I cannot die!" Yuki suddenly shouted. "You'll all going to pay! May the devil embezzle your souls!"
"Silent, demon!" says the leader. He raises a steel blade above his head, praying in a foreign language that she does not understand. Yuki cackled loudly, moving her head side to side. "You are all fools! You think you can get rid of our kind? We are the supreme being!"
Her cackling voice became dead silent after the vampire hunter leader drew his steel blade down. There were loud gasps from the crowd. People began murmuring silently, excitedly. "It's over. Our killer is dead. We shall not live in fear anymore."

But, he was wrong. It wasn't over. It was just the rudimentary... Another night creature crashed the party, having villagers fearing for their lives. "There's another one!" one resident cried. The vampire hunters were no match for this exordinary monster. They were eventually slaughtered, failing their mission to wipe out the kappa species. The night creature with dark hair as the night, as well as the eyes, approached the decapitated kappa corpse. No, this can't be true....he says to himself.
"I was late to save her." He says softly to a witch that lives in a deep forest. "They killed her." He added. "I would do anything to see her." The old witch smirks. "You would do anything to see her?"  "Yes. Can you help me?"  "I can. But there's a price to pay, of course." She says, still smirking.  "What is it that I can give you?" he asks, his hopes to see Yuki rising.  The witch snickers, but does not answer his question, but rather say, "you must slumber until Yuki's soul re-carnate. I cannot say when her spirit will return."

"Sleep? I don't understand." The mystery creature protests. "Listen up. See here?"
The witch held out a beautiful ancient necklace with a big ruby in a center of an oval object.  "This is an amulet. You wear it around your neck. It'll put you to sleep until the right person removes it. The amulet can be removed from any family member of Yuki. The trespassers will not be able too, for your amulet will attached itself to your body. This amulet will protect your immortal soul from desire for blood. Your body will decompose, but will become flesh after you drink blood."

"How do I know your words are guileless?"
"Why would I lie? And besides, you want to see her again, don't you?"
"Yes, very much."
"Where would I sleep? Where would my body be?"
The witch smirks once more. "My ghouls will get a coffin. We'll put you in there, bury you deep, and live you there until hopefully, somebody will find you the right time when Yuki returns. The catch is, the amulet can only be removed from any family member of Yuki's. If she was to be born in a different country, and doesn't find you, you might be in the coffin forever because no one else is capable of wakening you. If you do managed to find her, whatever she knows, you'll know."
"It's a risk I'm willing to accept. I love her. I've made her. She's mine."
"Very well, Jin."
